Man Dies After Gunfire Erupts at 3 a.m.

One Suspect Arrested, Charged with Murder

WEB DALLAS - A man is dead after Dallas police said an argument ended in gunfire early Saturday morning. The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. in the 3000 block of West Mockingbird Lane, near North Central Expressway.

During their preliminary investigation, officers determined the victim, 50-year-old Chance Domel Harris, had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle, where he later died from his injuries.

A 36-year-old suspect, Bobby Johnson, was arrested and charged with murder. He was booked into the Denton County Jail on May 9.

Police have not released any information about the argument that led to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
